Construction students and apprentices at Santa Fe College’s Charles R. Perry Construction Institute have built a new house for Alachua Habitat for Humanity, sponsored by Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI). The house was delivered to its permanent destination site at 334 NE 20th Terrace, Gainesville, FL 32641, on Thursday, June 13th. To celebrate this achievement, a Home Send-Off Celebration took place on Wednesday, June 12th at the Santa Fe College’s Charles R. Perry Construction Institute. During this event, speakers from CPPI, Alachua Habitat, and Santa Fe College highlighted the unique partnership between these three organizations. Attendees were encouraged to write messages of congratulations, hope, or scripture to the new homeowner, which he saw while the house was being delivered.
