Pepin Academy Project Celebrates First Concrete Placement

May 26, 2020

New Port Richey, Fla. – The Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) team at the Pepin Academy project in New Port Richey, Fla., recently celebrated their first concrete placements.

After the initial removal of six portable classroom buildings, the team placed the concrete pads for all three planned buildings in early May. Prefabricated steel placement has also begun.

Once complete, the project will add two classroom buildings and one multi-purpose building to its existing campus. The multi-purpose building will feature administration offices, a media center, and classrooms designated for art, music, science, language, and life skills. Each of the classroom buildings will house 11 classrooms. Overall, the project adds the capacity for more than 300 students.

CPPI has teamed up with Hepner Architects of Tampa, Fla., on the project.

Pepin Academies was established in 1999 as a public charter school that serves students with specific learning and learning-related disabilities. Serving grades 3 through 12, Pepin Academies also offers a transitional, job-training program for students from 18 to 22-years-old. They currently serve more than 1,000 students with campuses in Tampa, Riverview, and New Port Richey.
