Ocala Health Maricamp Freestanding Emergency Room Now Open
Ocala, Fla. – Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) recently finished the Ocala Health Maricamp Freestanding Emergency Room project in Marion County. The facility opened its doors in September, after a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house celebration.
Maricamp ER represents Ocala Health’s latest effort to expand its number of access points throughout Marion County. The new, 24/7 full service freestanding emergency department features 12 emergency room beds and is capable of caring for all ages, including pediatrics. The freestanding ER is expected to serve more than 11,500 patients a year.
The project was built using prefabricated BLOX Uber Modules. The units house patient rooms, bathrooms, surgery suites and more, and have the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems already integrated into them. This leaves them essentially ready to plug into healthcare facilities during construction.
Ocala Health Maricamp FSER was the first HCA facility to utilize the BLOX Uber Modules in the state of Florida. Since then, the use of BLOX Uber Modules have become a trend in healthcare construction of free standing emergency rooms.
