Nathaniel Bell Community Resource & Recreation Center Ribbon Cutting

September 1, 2026

CPPI joined Mount Dora leaders and community members on Monday, August 31, to officially cut the ribbon on the Nathaniel Bell Community Resource & Recreation Center, a new hub for people to come together and connect! The center was named in honor of Nathaniel Bell, a beloved teacher and mentor for 38 years whose legacy is still remembered by former students. His impact extended across Mount Dora through his service on City Council, where he played a role in developing recreational spaces that are still used today and helped support housing opportunities for local families.

Inside, the center has several unique spaces:

  • A gymnasium for friendly competition
  • Flexible spaces to gather and celebrate
  • A hands-on learning kitchen to build life skills
  • A full technology lab

This space gives the community a place to learn something new and catch up with neighbors, turning an ordinary day into something memorable! From everyday moments to meaningful milestones, the center is ready to add even more connection and opportunity to the already vibrant Mount Dora community
