September 27, 2021

Statesboro, Ga. – Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) is proud to announce that the Interdisciplinary Academic Building (IAB) at Georgia Southern University has received the Peach Award, a top certification from the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission.

Designed by the architecture and engineering firm HOK, CPPI completed the project in just under 16 months. The 110,000 square-foot, three-story facility features design that accommodates multiple academic disciplines and learning styles. A slanted corbel brick wall, exterior mesh screens, and an atrium with significant use of exterior glass provide a striking and open aesthetic.

Through the Georgia Peach Green Building Rating System, the Peach Award recognizes the IAB for top energy efficiency and Sustainable Construction Standards, according to GSFIC’s website.
