Gainesville, Fla. – Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) is proud to announce its strategic mentorship and unwavering support for Corie Patton as she embarks on a transformative journey with the launch of her own commercial framing and drywall business. TriCoast Building Group, LLC, a Florida certified general contractor and nationally certified women’s business enterprise founded by Patton and her father Johnny Barnes, a long-time framing and drywall leader in Texas, will provide drywall solutions and acoustical ceiling services for a variety of commercial wall systems.

The mentorship of TriCoast reflects our commitment to cultivating innovation, fostering collaboration, and promoting excellence within the construction industry, reinforcing the company’s dedication to building long lasting relationships and structures. Rooted in a culture of mentorship, innovation, and empowerment, CPPI recognizes the imperative role of sharing knowledge, resources, and expertise to propel collective advancement in the industry.

Corie Patton, Vice President of Healthcare Development at CPPI, has played a pivotal role in our company’s success over the last 15 years, particularly in elevating our presence within the Healthcare market. The launch of this mentorship program underlines CPPI’s dedication to nurturing and empowering its internal talent. Vinnie Moreschi, Principal at Charles Perry Partners, Inc., expresses excitement about supporting Patton in her new venture: “CPPI is honored to guide and mentor Corie as she pursues her dream of working with her father in the commercial framing and drywall arena. Having worked closely with Corie for more than 10 years, I am excited for this next chapter in her career; I am confident that she will continue to thrive in this new endeavor, just as she has with CPPI over the past 15 years.”

Growing up in a construction family where weekends were spent on jobsites and family meals revolved around construction discussions, Corie was exposed to her father’s dedication and hard work in construction early on and quickly began to share his passion. Corie’s dream to work with her father became a reality, thanks to guidance from remarkable mentors. Corie shares her gratitude for CPPI’s mentorship and everything leadership has taught her, “Launching TriCoast is an exciting step, and I’m grateful to CPPI for their support and mentorship. I aim to positively contribute to the Florida market, drawing on the guiding principles instilled by my family, my CPPI family, and wonderful mentors along the way.”

CPPI has been a long-standing supporter of mentorship programs and trade workforce development in all communities that they serve. Founder Chuck Perry established the company ethos of philanthropy and education by playing an instrumental part in the development of the construction education programs at both the University of Florida and Santa Fe College, participating in local trade organizations and apprenticeship programs, and providing mentoring opportunities to emerging companies. CPPI has carried this legacy forward by serving as a mentor to many small businesses throughout the years; we have been a long-time participant in the University of Florida’s Mentor-Protégé program and maintain similar relationships with small businesses throughout Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Savannah, many of which have gone on to achieve success in the construction industry. CPPI’s mentor-protégé relationships have included partnerships with Sequel Developers, SkyBuilders USA, Ducere Construction Services, Gray Construction, McMahon Builders, Pat Mathis Construction Company, JMZ Construction Company, CCG Construction Company, LiteSwap, and Karma Collisions & Engineering.

Brian K. Leslie, CPPI President, reflects on the importance of mentorship at CPPI, stating, “CPPI is proud to support Corie with the launch of TriCoast Building Group, LLC. This type of mentorship is not new with CPPI, and the leadership team is proud to foster talent and growth. We have helped many in the community as a catalyst to their careers and growing businesses, and it is something we are immensely proud to do for one of our own.”
