On Tuesday, October 27, CPPI’s South Florida team celebrated the topping out of the District 19 Medical Examiner’s Facility, marking the completion of the building’s structural framework.
The milestone recognizes the coordination and craftsmanship of the project team and trade partners in erecting the facility’s concrete tilt panels and structural steel. The celebration provided an opportunity to acknowledge the collective effort that brought the project to this stage.
Built to serve St. Lucie, Okeechobee, Martin, and Indian River counties, the Medical Examiner’s Facility was designed to support the specialized work of the medical examiner’s team. The facility will include laboratories, autopsy spaces, cold rooms, and dedicated mechanical systems. These spaces and systems are tailored to the operational requirements of the facility and the daily work performed within it.
With the structural framework complete, construction will continue with the detailed work required to bring the facility’s specialized spaces and systems into operation.
