Washington – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is pleased to announce Charles Perry Partners, Inc. has been named one of the 30 finalists for the 2022 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, in recognition of the organization’s support for its National Guard and Reserve employees.

“I am honored to congratulate these 30 employers, who have distinguished themselves in supporting their Reserve Component employees,” said Ron Bogle, ESGR’s National Chair. “Employers play a critical role in the success of our National Guard and Reserve Forces, and by valuing and supporting their employees’ military service, they are making a direct contribution to our Nation’s security.”

Charles Perry Partners, Inc (CPPI), along with 29 other finalists were selected from 2,777 nominations received from Guardsmen and Reservists highlighting how their civilian employers went far beyond what the federal law requires to support them. The finalists represent large and small employers, as well as public sector organizations. The Freedom Award Program began in 1996 under the auspices of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve to recognize exceptional employer support with 310 honorees to date.

Charles Perry Partners, Inc support their military employees by developing flexible work programs and human resource policies to support the Reserve Component service member and their family. This provides great comfort to the employee and demonstrates the CPPI commitment to supporting them as they pursue both a civilian and military career.

“During travels, my supervisors stepped in and took my place at a moment’s notice with Owners, Subcontractors and Engineers,” said CPT Donald Drummond, who nominated CPPI for the award. “This is a large “ask” of Senior Project Managers and Project Directors due to their workload of multiple projects.”

“CPPI is honored to be selected as a finalist for the ESGR Freedom Award. We are deeply committed to supporting our employees who are also serving as active service members in the Guard and Reserve. We believe that CPPI shares the same values as military personnel in service – commitment, integrity, and stewardship,” said CPPI President/Principal Brian K. Leslie.

The 15 employers selected to receive the 2022 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award are usually announced in June.
