Gainesville, Fla. – In support of the University of Florida’s inaugural Stand Up & Holler: Gator Nation Giving Day, CPPI made a commitment to contribute $150,000 to the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management. The Stand Up & Holler initiative encouraged alumni, students, and university supporters to donate toward the UF institution of their choosing. This campaign resulted in the university raising over $12.6 million from 11,535 individual gifts.

CPPI has completed over 80 major projects and hundreds of minor projects for the University of Florida. Recent projects include Phase II of UF Innovate | The Hub, a facility designed to provide space for tech startup companies, and the renovation of the Ayers building for the relocation of UF’s Information Technology department.

CPPI has been a proud supporter and partner of the University of Florida since the company was founded as Charles R. Perry Construction in 1968. Five of CPPI’s six owners are graduates of the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management. “Following the lead of our company’s founder, Chuck Perry, we understand how important it is to give back to the communities and organizations we serve,” said CPPI Chairman/Principal Breck Weingart. “Without the education we received at the University of Florida, we would not be in a position to give back to support initiatives in the Rinker School of Construction Management.”
