CPPI completes Liberty County School System’s Bradwell Institute gymnasium renovations

Hinesville, Ga. – CPPI completed its renovation of the Liberty County School System’s Bradwell Institute gymnasium and locker room this week. The updated facility features new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, wall modifications, new gym bleachers, new gym wood flooring, new locker rooms, group restrooms, classrooms, and coaches’ offices.

The gymnasium renovation adds 200 seats in the institute’s gym, bringing its total to 1,844 seats. The seating addition allows players to have ample seating without having to share bleacher space with fans. Additionally, physical education classes, varsity athletics, and the weight room each have their own separate locker room facilities. The project also added a film and laundry room adjacent to the varsity locker rooms.

In addition to athletic renovations, the project also provides the institute with an early childhood educating area, including a kitchen, children’s cubby area, and a new office.

Throughout the duration of the project, CPPI emphasized local and minority business enterprise (MBE) participation, early procurement of major MEP and equipment systems, coordination with occupied campus activities, and sustainable construction practices.

“We are excited to wrap up our first project with Liberty County School System. The renovations at Bradwell Institute are going to increase seating capacity in the gymnasium, and will improve the overall efficiency of gymnasium and locker room use for athletic teams and classes,” said CPPI Vice President and Savannah Regional Manager Ryan Taylor.

The new Bradwell Institute gym and associated facilities were approved for use on March 22, 2019.
