Gainesville, Fla. – Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) recently broke ground at the UF Health Florida Surgical Center for a 23-Hour Unit Addition project in Gainesville, Fla.

This new 7,970-square-foot overnight stay patient unit will feature 10 private, postoperative rooms, a lounge, and a covered pick-up drive and entry. The addition also includes a nurses’ station and staff lounge.

A new parking lot will also be added, expanding capacity at UF Health’s outpatient surgery centers.

Currently, work on the addition’s foundations are underway. The team has also begun excavating a retention pond on the facility’s campus to enhance stormwater infrastructure.

CPPI has partnered with Partin Architecture on the project.

The new parking lot is slated for completion in August, and the 23-Hour Unit in November.
