CPPI awarded Orange Park Medical Center expansion and renovation contract

Orange Park, Fla. – Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) was recently awarded Orange Park Medical Center’s vertical tower expansion and kitchen renovation contract. The project will have three parts, including a 101,435-square-foot vertical tower expansion, a 17,501-square-foot kitchen expansion and renovation, and a 5,116-square-foot CEP expansion and renovation.

The vertical tower expansion will add four floors over top of the center’s existing emergency department, giving OPMC a total of five stories. The second floor will be used as mechanical/shell space, while the third and fourth floors will have new 24-bed medical and surgical patient room units. The fifth floor will provide shell space for future build-out opportunities.

The kitchen will be completely renovated and expanded, from underground utilities to an additional component. This will allow for greater kitchen capacity and the addition of a loading dock.

The center’s CEP addition and renovation will expand the chiller plant and cooling tower yard. This renovation will allow the facility to maintain its cooling capabilities as it expands.

Construction is scheduled to begin in June. CPPI will serve as the general contractor, and TMPartners, PLLC is the architect.
