CPPI awarded Gorrie Elementary School HVAC replacement contract

January 15, 2018

Tampa, Fla. – CPPI was recently selected as the construction manager for Hillsborough County Schools’ Gorrie Elementary School HVAC replacement project in Tampa.

The project consists of a replacement of DX HVAC equipment and components with a new chilled water system. This includes replacing all air handlers, variable air volume boxes, duct heaters, roof top units, controls, exhaust fans and construction of a new chiller plant.

Gorrie Elementary School is a historically designated campus, and has the oldest operating elementary school building in the state of Florida, originally constructed in 1889. Updating the HVAC system will allow students and staff to remain comfortable and will help provide a better learning environment on the historic campus.

Construction is set to begin at the end of May 2018, with Phase I completing July 2018 and Phase II being completed during the summer of 2019.
