Savannah, Ga. – October 20, 2017 – On Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2 p.m., Savannah State University held a ribbon cutting ceremony on campus for two new science buildings, marking their official opening.

The Science and Technology Building is a two-story, 30,000 square foot laboratory facility. It will house engineering technology and chemistry laboratories, with space and capabilities for surveying, construction materials, and digital and electronic systems.

The Marine Sciences Building is a 17,000 square foot faculty office and laboratory facility. It will house cutting edge equipment for dolphin survey, necropsy, fish ecology, and more. One of its most notable highlights is its dock with deep-water access, allowing students and faculty to conduct deep-water research just minutes from the lab.

CPPI is proud to have worked in collaboration with Savannah State and Hussey, Gay, Bell Architects to complete two innovative buildings that will increase student and faculty research capabilities and be a part of the university’s growing College of Sciences and Technology.
