CPPI’s Eric Drummond named Builder’s Association of North Central Florida President

December 9, 2017

Gainesville, Fla. – On December 8th, 2017, Eric Drummond, project director at CPPI, was installed as the 2018 Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF) president. Drummond will serve his one year term as the association’s 62nd president.

Drummond was installed by CPPI’s executive vice president/principal and past BANCF president, Matt Webster, at the 62nd Annual Installation Banquet at the UF Hilton Conference Center. The evening included dinner, desserts, and dancing.

As the highest elected officer, Drummond acts as the official spokesperson and leader for the association. He also presides over Board of Directors meetings, member meetings, and will work to establish and achieve the association’s goals.

One of Drummond’s goals this year is to ensure that members take full advantage of the resources that come with BANCF membership. He said “It is an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to serve the nearly 600 members of our association this year. Since 1955, BANCF has represented the interests of the commercial and residential building industry in North Central Florida…and this year, it is my goal to educate our members and engage each one in a way that will maximize their membership, and produce value.”

Although he brings his own set of objectives to the table, Drummond is not the first of the CPPI team to serve as BANCF president. He follows in the footsteps of Breck Weingart, Brian Leslie, Matt Webster, and Vinnie Moreschi, serving as the fifth CPPI team member in the role.

Drummond has not overlooked the advantage of having the support and guidance of previous BANCF presidents at CPPI. “Breck, Brian, Matt and Vinnie have each walked this path before me, and they have passed along the same vision of commitment, integrity, teamwork, excellence, and stewardship upon which Mr. Perry founded CPPI 50 years ago. My job is to foster an environment where those ideals can be exercised,” he said.

In addition to Drummond’s presidency nomination, CPPI’s Vinnie Moreschi and Jake Plein each received Distinguished Spike awards at the banquet. Carsen Stefanelli and Lee Hall will also serve on the BANCF 2018 Board of Directors under Drummond.

Drummond is a lifetime resident of the Alachua County area and a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction. In addition to his tenure as BANCF president, he leads the Diversified Projects Division at CPPI and serves on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida.
