May 3, 2019

Gainesville, Fla. – The M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management recently selected CPPI Executive Vice President/Principal Matt Webster as its 2019 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient.

The Distinguished Alumnus Award is given annually to a graduate of the construction program who graduated a minimum of ten years prior to receiving the award. BCN Distinguished Alumni are those who have become eminent in the construction field since their graduation, and have consistently supported the school.

Matt Webster graduated from the Rinker program in 1995, and has maintained a strong relationship with the program through his work at CPPI and through personal service, like his time on the program’s Executive Committee. Last year, Webster was appointed to a principal role at CPPI, along with fellow Rinker graduates, Vinnie Moreschi (RNK ’06) and Jason Morgan (RNK ’94). Brian Leslie (RNK ’94) and Breck Weingart (RNK ’80) also maintain their principal roles in the company.

In addition to his involvement with the University of Florida, Matt has participated in various community organizations throughout his time in Gainesville. This includes the Builders Association of North Central Florida, Rebuild Together North Central Florida, Alachua Habitat for Humanity, and the Santa Fe College Apprenticeship program. Matt graduated from Leadership Gainesville Class 35 and returned as a mentor for Leadership Gainesville Class 43.

“As an M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management graduate who has lived and worked in the Gainesville community over the past two decades, it is a great honor to be recognized by my alma mater. It has been my pleasure to continue my relationship with the University of Florida as we continue to work together through my role at CPPI.” said Webster.

The Distinguished Alumnus Award was presented at the Spring Rinker School of Construction Management Graduation dinner on May 2nd.
