CPPI’s Dr. Abbott Appointed to Santa Fe College Employer Advisory Committee
Gainesville, Fla. – Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) is proud to announce that Dr. Kimberly Abbott, Human Resources Director, was recently appointed to serve on the Business Administration Employer Advisory Committee at Santa Fe College.
Abbott will serve a two-year term assisting in the long-range planning of programs and reviewing curriculum for relevance to the employment needs of the North Central Florida business community.
The Advisory Committee at Santa Fe College focuses on cooperative relationships with local businesses, professional organizations, government agencies, and corporations. These partnerships provide insight into regional employment needs and trends, helping to ensure that Santa Fe’s career and workforce education programs remain relevant to the ever-evolving employment market.
“I am so happy that I will have the opportunity to give back to my community in such a way that utilizes my strengths but also allows me to proudly represent CPPI in bolstering our long-running relationships with Santa Fe while networking more broadly within the ecosystem of its campus as well as the business circles of greater Gainesville” said Abbott.
As Human Resources Director, Abbott is responsible for all activities in the HR-designated areas of CPPI’s operations, finance, new business development, policies and procedures, corporate compliance, compensation, and all aspects of full-cycle HR. With more than 25 years of experience implementing innovative HR strategies in the public and private sectors, Abbott joined the CPPI executive team in February, 2022. Since then, she has worked to drive company growth through initiatives that support the HR strategic plan.
Abbott earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Florida, a Master’s in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Florida, a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of North Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University. She also holds certifications in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Professional Human Resources (PHR) with the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and is a Predictive Index (PI) Partner.
