Gainesville, Fla. – CPPI brought in top honors at the annual Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF) Installation Banquet in early December. The organization, which represents the residential and commercial building industry, has a membership of more than 600 businesses, as well as their employees.

Project Director Eric Drummond was named the 2019 Builder of the Year.

Of the honor, Drummond said, “I certainly never expected the award this year, and I am definitely honored to be chosen. Especially when I look at the names of the other people who have won this award throughout the years.”

Jason Robinson, the BANCF President of 2019, said of Drummond: “This Builder not only stays an active member years after he was President, but was so motivated by his work in governmental affairs that he took it one step further. He served on the Alachua County Planning Commission – going through the County’s Comprehensive Plan update. If that wasn’t enough, this year he applied and was selected to serve on the Charter Review Commission. We don’t know how he does it all, but we are glad he is defending our industry and our livelihood.”

In addition to his involvement with BANCF, Drummond currently sits on the Alachua County Charter Review Commission and Board of Directors for the Southwest Advocacy Group CHILD. He has previously served as President of BANCF, Vice Chair of the Alachua County Planning Commission, and on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charites of North Central Florida.

Also at the event, Project Director Jake Plein was awarded both the Big Spike of the Year and the Distinguished Spike awards.

Plein has served on numerous BANCF committees over the years since 2012, and served on the Board of Directors this past year. He has also been awarded various Spike Awards since 2013.

Plein, Drummond and Project Manager Jennifer Lyons were also installed onto the BANCF 2020 Board of Directors that evening.

CPPI has a long history of involvement with the association, and has had many past board members and presidents.
