The Highlands Estates Academy project exemplifies the complexities and challenges of modern school renovation and expansion. Spearheaded by Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI), the project is characterized by the demolition and renovation of existing structures while integrating new additions to combine the Highlands and Pine Estates Elementary Schools. The final school is now equipped with 750 student stations, along with new learning spaces, including Exceptional Student Education (ESE) classrooms, an art lab, a music room, and a skills lab. The project exemplifies effective planning, innovative design solutions, and strategic cost management, resulting in a new campus for the K-5 students of Duval County.
